Heroes Vs Hordes

What was the project?
A welcome return to the world of mobile gaming, Swift Games has been a dive in the deep end with the highly successful title Heroes Vs. Hordes. A survival game with an established look and feel – with a huge, passionate community driving it forward.
Working with a small team of peers, we work on new and exciting ideas to help keep the game evolving so as to maintain and grow the community of players who return day after day to drive back those never-ending hordes!
Working primarily in Figma, my role is to create wireframes, based on the Game Designers concepts, working closely with the team to define features and interactivity through prototypes, scaling the work up and into release quality artwork that is imported directly into Unity and launched into the game!
My role
- Rapid Iterative Prototyping: Quickly create interactive wireframes and mockup designs to define the user experience of new feature prototypes.
- Game Asset Creation: Develop a wide variety of 2D assets, including icons and UI elements, characters, and environments, optimized for rapid iteration.
- Collaborate Closely: Work alongside designers and developers to ensure art is integrated seamlessly and efficiently into prototypes, maintaining fast turnaround times.
- Adaptation: Adapt quickly to feedback, iterating on designs to match evolving gameplay and new ideas.
- Style Exploration: Experiment with different play styles and approaches to help each prototype stand out visually and resonate with players.
- Efficiency & Optimization: Ensure assets are optimized for quick production cycles, maintaining performance and quality across mobile platforms.
- Creative Problem-Solving: Address artistic challenges with innovative solutions, balancing speed with quality in the early stages of game development.
